Surprise Your Wedding Guests....

The majority of us have been guests at enough weddings to have a familiar sense of the timeline of events that take place throughout the night (ie: cocktail hour, speeches, first course, second course, cake cutting, dancing in between and so on...)

Well if you're looking to change things up and add some fun and exciting surprises to entertain your guests, keep checking back here.  I will be featuring some of the top unique entertaining trends that have been popping up at all types of weddings--and I guarantee your guests are sure to enjoy them!

For our first feature trend of this series......

PHOTO BOOTHS

Adding a photo booth to your reception is one of my favorite surprises for guests! This is something that they can have fun with and enjoy upon their arrival and throughout the night. 


Props, such as chalkboard signs, mustaches, sunglasses and feather boas are also very popular items to include so that every one can be silly and creative with their photographs.

Typically a bride and groom will display a scrapbook album so that guests can add their photos to it and sign messages and well wishes to the couple which is a great keepsake for them...and is sure to give a few laughs.

This can also double as a favor for guests to take home. Many couples place photo frames at each place setting or at a table near the booth with a small message or poem thanking guests for sharing their special day and offering them to keep a photo for their frame as a souvenir of their wedding day.

And another great way to get the most out of this favor/thank you note is to use the frame as an escort card as well!...Talk about killing two birds with one stone and saving a lot of headaches and money! NOW we're talking!

And lastly....of course, be sure to get your photographer to snap some shots of you and your new hubby squeezed in the photo booth kissing and having fun taking photos of with one another...so cute and romantic..these candids are the BEST!

Congrats to the Latest Celebrity Couples to Get Engaged!

With the holidays just wrapping up, the celeb engagement announcements are like rapid fire this week!

Congrats to Miss Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman who have just announced their engagement. They were engaged in Sun Valley, Idaho over the holidays.

And to Mario Lopez and girlfriend of three years and mother of their two year old daughter, Courtney Mazza. According to US Weekly, Lopez proposed to Mazza with a STUNNING 5-carat diamond during New Years weekend while in Ixtapa, Mexico.
