Chalk it Up!

In keeping with the theme of my last post....I'd like to talk a bit more about the chalkboard craze!

From invitations, to signage, to menus, to Thank You's, the idea of the classic chalkboard has made it's way far beyond the teacher's classroom and into today's modern day wedding.

The simple, yet quirky, chalkboard element has become a staple at so many weddings, showers and events these days, making them even more memorable and playful for guests.  If you are going the non-traditional route and want add something cute and different to your theme, try simply adding a chalkboard to any part of your reception. Great for a rustic country wedding or even a garden party!

Check out all the unique ways to incorporate this fab look into your special day!

Perfect for "Thank You" cards!

Save on printed materials and chalk up your menu!

Great for photo opps or photo booths!

Chalked invitations in place of printed materials.

Chalkboard drink labels
Drink labels...great for guests to put their own spin on things and have fun with it!

Super duper cute! I just love it :)

Just wanted to share....

Recently I did a 4th of July party (pics coming soon) with something very similar. I have a new love for mason jars and chalk boards and when I came across this I just HAD to share with all of you!

I LOVE this idea and think this is super adorable for any country or outdoor garden themed wedding or event!

This girl did her wedding of 100 guests for only 3K! Some cute ideas

For all my Fairy-Tale Brides...

So it looks like the Fairy Godmother has some competition...and his name is Christian Louboutin.

The famed and talented Mr. Louboutin is at it again! He has teamed up with Disney in honor of the diamond edition re-release this fall of the 1950 classic animated film, and taken on the role of "Fairy Godfather" by re-inventing Cinderella's famous slippers.

Fit for a princess, the designer gave the glass slipper we all know a bit of a face lift. He opted for white lace and Swarovski-crystal embellishments rather than molded glass.

The magical shoes were premiered during Couture Week in Paris and in addition to the beautiful lace and crystal detailing, features butterfly appliqués and of course, that trademark red sole.

And for those of you brides-to-be wondering how you can get a hold of the Louboutin slippers, well they will not be produced for mass sale and only 20 pairs will be given away worldwide this fall, turning "anyone into modern-day Cinderella," Louboutin says. In the spirit of the fairy tale, the designer will anoint one lucky U.S. fan as his Cinderella and gift her with a free limited-edition pair....Hey! you never know!
(Disney and Louboutin will release details on the giveaway in August)
